Nur Ul Ilm Academy Presents
From Distraction to Direction
We are flooded with constant distractions and busy lives, that we often don't stop to pause and reflect, WHERE ARE WE REALLY GOING?
Join visiting guest scholars from the UAE, Shaykh Mufti Tauqeer and Alimah Nadia Sadiq for The Awakening tour, an opportunity to attend the blessed gatherings of remembering Allah & His Messenger ﷺ and reminders to deal with life's challenges. There will be practical workshops, youth sessions, interactive Q&A sessions, meaningful discussions and much more.
You will learn how to live life with intention, purpose and direction. Experience that deeper awareness of Allah's mercy, beauty and infinite generosity.
Your Awakening starts here, insha'Allah.
Scholar · Spiritual Coach · Motivational Speaker
Join Shaykh Mufti Tauqeer this July and August 2026, for The Awakening tour across Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
Shaykh Mufti Tauqeer is amongst the scholars who have studied under prominent scholars of his generation. He teaches in the UAE and serves as a lecturer of Hadith. He holds a degree in formal Islamic education, including the Alimiyyah program and has further specialised in Islamic Jurisprudence ('Ifta).
With a background in engineering and corporate leadership together with his knowledge of the Islamic sciences, he has guided and helped promote sacred knowledge with self-development.
In Sydney, attendees can expect two extended legs of public talks, youth and father–son sessions, in-depth workshops on modern day challenges and community gatherings. He will also lead select events in Melbourne (3–5 August) and Canberra (6–8 August) before returning to Sydney for the closing weekend (14-16 Aug).

Principal & Founder · Educator & Family Mentor
Alimah Nadia Sadiq is a dedicated Islamic scholar, educator, and mentor with a passion to spreading Islamic knowledge and spiritual growth. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and combines her academic and professional background with her passion for Islamic education.
Completing her Alimah program with distinction, she gained expertise in classical Islamic sciences, including Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, and Arabic. In 2008, Alimah Nadia co-founded Nur ul Ilm Institute alongside her husband, Shaykh Mufti Tauqeer. She currently serves as the principal of the women's branch of the institute, where she leads its operations and academic programs and teaches subjects such as Arabic of Quran, Hadith, and Shariah Law.
A strong advocate for women's education, Alimah Nadia regularly delivers lectures, conducts workshops, and mentors women and girls on topics like personal development, spirituality, and balancing faith with contemporary challenges.
Her ability to bridge traditional Islamic teachings with modern-day issues has made her a respected guide and role model. Alimah Nadia Sadiq continues to inspire individuals to strengthen their connection with Allah and live meaningful, faith-centred lives.
About the Institution
At Nur ul Ilm Academy, we offer a learning experience beyond books. We are committed to seeking sacred knowledge through authentic traditions and spiritual development. Our vision is to share this sacred knowledge, empowering Muslims to understand the Quran and reflect the Prophetic character.
To provide a holistic approach to learning grounded on the principles of Islam, Imaan and Ihsan — with guidance and practice through our chain of mashaikh. We nurture Muslims who are confident in their faith and practice, who carry themselves with adab and noble character, and who contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
From classes in living rooms to community halls, and now — by the permission of Allah — a rented home at the Nirimba Education Precinct in Quakers Hill, Nur ul Ilm has become a foundation for a dedicated centre of knowledge, growth and community. As we grow, we are establishing a dedicated Islamic Education Precinct in the Hills: a home where children learn, youth connect with their identity, families grow and sacred knowledge builds future generations.
We serve the community to support every stage of learning. All our programmes are taught by qualified scholars.
For women — Quran Journaling, Hadith, Fiqh and Arabic with a focus on personal transformation.
Ages 13–18 — practical Islamic guidance for identity, character and modern challenges.
Ages 6–12 — building strong foundations in faith, adab and sacred knowledge.
Ages 3–5 — nurturing love for Allah and His Messenger from the earliest years.
Across Sydney — real-life challenges from spirituality and wellbeing to modern issues.
